These are my cheapist sharp edge resin dice but no where near my worst

Name: Green Dragon’s eye Liquid Core Dice Set
Description: A set of sharp-edge resin dice in dark gray translucent resin with liquid centers and floating eyeballs inside. The eyeballs are green and yellow with dragon(?) shaped pupils. The dice use a standard font similar to Helvetica bold with large numbers on all of the dice except the d20. The d4 in this set is the prism shape instead of the more common 3-sided pyramid. The font is inked in a yellowish-green color that goes very well with the color of the floating eyeballs inside. The d10s have edged waists and all edges / vertices are very sharp. Underbars are used to indicate the orientation of the 6 and 9 faces. The dice are sold in 8 different colorways.
Size:
d20: (Face->Face) 21.4 mm (Point->Point) 26.3 mm
Where did they come from: Etsy (Seller: beautifulloveshopArt)
How much did they cost: $24.50
Material / color: Dark gray resin dice with green/yellow eyeballs floating inside
Quality: Very good. I don’t see any mold creases, dings, or scratches.
Readability: good, not great. I can read a d20 roll from 4 feet away on the rug but not 8 feet away. The green eyeball obscures the green ink of the numbers.
Value: Amazing. These are very underpriced at $24.50.
Overall Rating: 9/10

Attempts needed to roll a natural 20: 26 rolls
Ten d20 rolls: 15, 3, 17, 19, 16, 12, 3, 19, 3, 2 (10.9 avg)
4d6 drop 1 stat block: 12, 13, 9, 9, 8, 11 (62 total) An outgoing human rogue from the Scorched Plains who used to work as a tavern bouncer
For reference: the Standard Array method totals to: 72 and the Point Buy method totals to: 69.
Sneak attack damage on a crit (level 15 rogue):
(8d6 sneak attack damage + short sword standard damage) x 2 + modifier:
(28 + 7) * 2 + 1 = 71 damage
(This is another excuse for using random tables and rolling dice)
Random Tables rolls:
Eldritch Horrors: 02 – Yazothle: A formless blob that consumes everything in its path. It gains the knowledge of anything it eats. The souls of the eaten are sometimes seen trying to escape the creature’s ooze-like body, but to no avail. They are trapped for all eternity.
Legendary Eberron Items: 89 – The Pale Blade: This powerful longsword is said to be crafted from the bones of a dead god. It is said that when drawn in battle, a pale light radiates from the blade, granting its wielder increased strength and speed. Those who have wielded it in battle have reported feeling an overwhelming sense of dread and despair that seems to linger after each fight.

Final Thoughts: I don’t know why I didn’t get a set of these sooner. Maybe I’m just not shopping for dice often enough or I haven’t been looking at Etsy lately since it changed from small sellers making custom craft items to vultures who buy cheap garbage from Temu or AliExpress and resell it for a profit. I call it “The Middleman Effect” which Etsy is totally fine with as long as they get their cut. I don’t like to buy much off of Etsy but they have a lot of dice (re)sellers and people who are 3d printing ttRPG mini-figures. These still seem to be viable businesses I guess.
So back to my thoughts on these dice… They’re very nice, clean, have a bold look with the shade of green that they are inked with and the color of the eyeballs. I’d imagine that these would sell for $50 in a brick-and-mortar game store. The eyeballs are printed and not painted. The resolution of the printing isn’t that good, you can see the individual dots pretty easily. They’re still very nice to look at. Also, who doesn’t want a set of dice that settle down with eyes that wobble around inside.
The only knock I can give these dice is that they seem very unbalanced. I rolled 5 ones in a row on a d6 and during a longer set of d20 rolls I found I was coming up with a much higher than usual number of rolls that were adjacent to the 20 face. (2, 14, 8). I still wouldn’t hesitate to bring these to the table with me. Some sessions my Cleric rolls like absolute garbage all night. Two sessions ago I think I succeeded on maybe 20% of my d20 tests and attack rolls. The most recent session was almost the complete opposite. I change out most of my dice between sessions because I only have room for a few sets and I have so many sets of dice at home that I want to use more of them than I bring.
When I play away from home (at a game store or my DM’s house) I bring 7 full sets of dice plus a few extra d20s (chonk and standard size), 5 extra d6s, and a large d100. I also bring: A wooden dice tray, Players Handbook, Tasha Cauldron of Everything (if my subclass is in there), pens, pencils, a mini, a wooden spell slot tracker, a full set of spell cards (if I’m playing a caster), maybe a small snack, my paper character sheet, and my campaign log book. This all barely fits in a small plastic tub that I can just set beneath my chair during gameplay. I’ve worked hard to only keep things in there that I’ll use regularly.
So this set of dice… I like them a lot. They look great, they were an amazing bargin, and I’m actually looking at getting another set of them now that I’ve seen the color choices that are still available. Imagine that, I write up a review of a set of dice and it inspires me to buy more dice. This is meant to inspire you, the reader to buy more dice. Alas the Irony… Seriously though, these are very nice dice at a steal of a price. Don’t sleep on these.
