Each die in the set is a different shade of resin ranging from dark blue to yellowish-orange. They all have colorful holofoil inclusions in them but it is hard to tell what color the holofoil is with 7 different shades of resin to look through. The dice use the standard font that the most dice from Everything Dice uses which is a mixture of elements from different typefaces including (to my eyes): Gill Sans, Rubik, Montserrat, Garamond and Fira among others. Very clean lines on the font but I can’t find any single font that matches this style. The numbers are inked in white and the 6 and 9 faces use underbars to indicate their orientation as the dice gods intended. The dice came in the standard Everything Dice illustrated cardboard box with foam inside to keep them safe. Deal?

This is another gorgeous set of multi-color dice where each die is a different color. I’ve been on a bit of a rainbow dice set buying spree lately. with posts: 97, 98, 100, and now this one. I don’t know why but colorful things just make me happy. The colors that they used for the resin tints for this set of dice are beautiful and the holofoil inclusions makes them pop even just a little bit more. These dice roll well and stop quickly, something that I love about sharp-edge resin dice. The font (whatever it’s called) is very readable and serious which is fine with me. There is zero confusion when I’m looking at the numbers I rolled. I never need to squint out a roll to see whether I failed a saving throw or not.

I keep thinking to myself: “I’ve got so many sets of dice, I’m covered, I never see anything new and interesting come out. Innovation in dice-making has become stagnant.” Then I buy several more sets of dice and prove that I don’t know what I’m talking about. Now I have to buy a couple more dice holder tray things as I’m running out of space in the (glances over to the shelf where they are all stacked) eleven! trays that hold 18 sets of dice each.

So these dice were made using the 6 classic / standard shapes. The size of these dice is a little smaller than I’d like but still quite nice. I got a promo email with a discount code for this set of dice just before thanksgiving and promptly bought them along with another chonk d20 (review coming soon) without much thought when I saw that 20% off in the email. Just throw some pictures of pretty dice and a discount code at me and walk away laughing all the way to the bank. I dare you to honestly tell me these aren’t gorgeous dice though. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

If I’m choosing between colorful and bland dice, I would choose colorful every time Name: City Pop Rocks Description: This is a set of transluscent Sharp-Edge resin dice from Everything Dice.
