They are made of silver metal (Zinc no doubt) with purple borders around each face. The numbers use a very simple \/ readable font. I figure it’s Arial or something very much like Arial. Bleh. The numbers are inked black. The 6 and 9 faces use underbars to indicate their orientation. The d10 and d% have very rounded \/ beveled waists. They’re a bit small but the silver\/purple colors do well together. They’re smaller than I like my dice and I don’t care much for captive face dice given how much smaller they make the numbers to save room for the borders around the faces. Thankfully these are a bit easier to read than other captive face dice that I have. I’m not certain that I still have any captive face dice left. I’ve bought them in the past but I may not have kept them. Overall these dice are somewhat plain and uninspired. They’re living solely on their color scheme, not much else to talk about with these. I noticed that they’re quite bouncy when I roll them though. I don’t care much for excess bouncing when I roll them. The d10 and d% have a problem rolling sideways along their waist bevel when I roll them. I’ve never seen beveled waist d10s do that before. Not a fan. I noticed that the 1 and 8 faces of the d8 are adjacent instead of on opposite sides of the die. I haven’t seen this configuration before. The d12 is a spin-down which I’m never a fan of.

Do you want a small-ish set of “safe” plain (for metal) dice? Do you find comfort in the simplicity of Chessex dice? Maybe these are for you. I don’t love ’em but they’re better than dull-edge resin dice.
