I’m going with a real banger set of dice right out of the gate. They’re not without flaws but this was one of those sets of dice that I saw which gave me the “buy them immediately” feeling… so I did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

**UPDATE 2\/26\/24**<\/strong> I might have to stop using these dice at the table. I recently had a session where I rolled two natural 20s in a row for two of my attacks on the same turn. I switched to other dice out of guilt and didn’t use this set again until the following week where I jokingly said: “I’ll just try again with the set that I rolled back-to-back Nat 20s with last week.”<\/em> Maybe you can see where this is going… yes, I immediately rolled another 20. It was funny and shocking but more in a: “I hope they don’t think I bought a set of loaded dice” shameful way unfortunately. Later that session I was rolling the d20 just to fidget with it and rolled 19, 19, 17, 19 at which point I put the d20 back in the case and haven’t rolled it since. Beautiful and Crit-seeking. I think it might be a shy d20 or even a super-prodigy.<\/a> They’re gorgeous so I want to use them but I couldn’t stand to be thought of as a dice cheat.

Name<\/strong>: Orifantou Chartreuse dice set

Description<\/strong>: They’re a heavy set of metal dice with dark Royal blue \/ Chartreuse faces with grooves running across them. The numbers are in a basic un-serifed font in Rose Gold color. All vertices have rose gold caps. The 6 and 9 faces use underbars. The waists, edges, and vertices are all very sharp. These dice don’t fuck around. There are 16 different color combinations available for these dice at the ORIFANTOU store at Amazon.

How much did they cost:<\/strong> $26

Material \/ color:<\/strong> metal (zinc) Chartreuse blue with rose gold vertices

Quality<\/strong>: Good overall with some small dings and chips on all of the dice.

Readability<\/strong>: Awesome in any conditions that don’t require darkvision

Value<\/strong>: These were a fantastic value for the price. I would absolutely buy these in my local game store for twice the price.

Overall Rating:<\/strong> 9\/10. Fix the chips and paint smudges and you’re on top of the pile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Thoughts: <\/strong>These are very heavy with a great feel. The color combination of the chartreuse and rose gold is glorious even where the blue is a bit worn off.

They roll a bit oddly. The big exaggerated vertices make the rolls on the d12 and d20 lurch to other faces when rolling. They’re a bit jerky if that makes sense. It should be equal across all faces, so I don’t think they’re unbalanced. (which wouldn’t bother me unless it was very exaggerated)

The d10s sometimes roll along their waist edges which is neat to see.

This is a wonderful set of dice. They look amazing in all but the dimmest light. They were a great value (Thanks China) and will easily compete for a regular spot among the sets that make it to the weekly game session.
